Affordable Tanzania Safari, you’ll see flamingos and other water birds in Lake Manyara National Park, Baobab trees and group of Elephant along Tarangire park, a crater teeming with wildlife in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and a wide variety of species in Serengeti National Park.
Day 1 Arusha – Tarangire National Park
In the morning you will start your safari with a drive to the Tarangire National Park. The park, roughly the size of Luxemburg, covers an area of approximately 2,600 km². The landscape of savannah, seasonal swamps and giant baobab trees is home to Masai giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeest, eland, fringe-eared oryx, the weird-looking long-necked gerenuk and over 550 species of birds. But it is the elephants, Tarangire is famous for and the park, where herds of up to 300 animals roam, is probably one of the best places in East Africa to see them and to get close to these giant creatures. After an extensive game drive, you will arrive at a campsite outside the park, where you will spend the night in a tent.
Lunch; Dinner
Day 2 Tarangire National Park – Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast you will drive to the smaller Lake Manyara National Park. The park is known for its over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests and grassy plains. A large area of the park is covered by the alkaline Lake Manyara, which is home to colonies of flamingos and other water birds. Apart from elephants you might also spot giraffes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas and teeming groups of noisy monkeys and baboons in the forests near the lake. In the afternoon, after an extensive game drive, you will travel to the small multi-cultural village of Mto wa Mbu, on the outskirts of Lake Manyara National Park. You will camp at a campsite where you can relax at the pool or bar.
Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Day 3 Lake Manyara Area – Serengeti National Park
After the breakfast plates have been cleared, you will continue toward the fertile highland where wheat, coffee and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before travelling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with a diversity of landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains. Here the biggest wildebeest and zebra migration takes place and depending on season you will have the opportunity to witness thousands of animals on their search for nourishment. You will camp the night in the Seronera area in central Serengeti.

Day 4 Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Early morning you will set out on another game drive in the Serengeti before continuing towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Soon the 600 meters deep unbroken caldera will open up before you and you will have a moment to take in the fantastic, awe-inspiring views of the collapsed volcano. Your campsite lies directly on the crater’s edge, offering a once in a lifetime view as the sun slowly sets over the crater. Nestled in your tent, thinking about the adventure the next morning brings, you will drift off to sleep.
Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner
Day 5 Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Arusha
Early in the morning you will head down the forested slopes into the crater on a steep and narrow path. The crater floor is covered in open grassland with the occasional acacia tree and two small wooded areas. Teaming with wildlife, you will be able to see many animals in a short period of time and might even be able to tick the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – off your list. Other animals present in the crater area include wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, hippos and more than 500 species of birds. You will spend the entire morning exploring the park and after a picnic lunch in the crater, you will return to Arusha where you will arrive by early evening.
