3 Day Nyerere National Park Safari

A 3-day Nyerere National Park Safari begins after breakfast at your hotel. First, your Kiliholidays driver-guide will pick you up. Then, board the vehicle and drive toward Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival around noon, enjoy a relaxing lunch break. After lunch, continue to the Rufiji River for an exciting boating tour. Rufiji is Tanzania’s largest river and hosts a spectacular collection of plants and animals. Moreover, the river stretches approximately 600 kilometers from southwestern Tanzania to the Indian Ocean. Its major tributary is the Great Ruaha River. During the 1–2 hour boating activity, observe crocodiles, hippos, and other fascinating aquatic wildlife. Later, return to the vehicle and drive to Africa Safari Selous. Finally, enjoy dinner and settle in for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, board the vehicle with your picnic lunch boxes. Then, depart for a full-day game drive. Nyerere National Park, formerly the northern part of Selous Game Reserve (pronounced “Seluu”), is the largest national park in Tanzania. Moreover, it ranks among the world’s largest wildlife sanctuaries. In addition, its delta hosts one of the largest mangrove forests in the world. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including lions, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, hyenas, African wild dogs, and numerous crocodiles along the Rufiji River. Most notably the park is also known for its prolific population of African Wild Dogs. Lunch at the picnic site. Late evening, you will drive to Africa Safari Selous for dinner and overnight.
