After breakfast in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park, located approximately 2–3 hours away. Tarangire is famous for its giant baobab trees, diverse landscapes, and some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania.
Upon arrival, enjoy a full game drive through the park’s savannah plains and along the Tarangire River, the park’s main water source that attracts wildlife year-round.
You may spot:
- Large elephant families
- Lions and leopards
- Giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests
- Buffaloes and various antelope species
- Over 550 species of birds
Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon wildlife viewing.
