Your safari adventure begins in the morning with departure from Dar es Salaam. Then, enjoy a scenic drive through the countryside to Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected wilderness areas.
Upon arrival in the late afternoon, embark on a relaxing boat safari along the Rufiji River. During the cruise, spot hippos, crocodiles, and water birds. Additionally, you may see elephants and other wildlife gathering at the river’s edge.
After an early breakfast, begin your adventure with a full-day game drive in the vast wilderness of Nyerere Park. As you explore the park, watch for lions, wild dogs, and elephants. Additionally, spot giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and abundant birdlife. Throughout the day, enjoy the ever-changing scenery and wildlife encounters across this untamed landscape.

After the safari, return to the lodge for breakfast. Then, drive to Mikumi National Park, arriving by evening. Connected to Selous, Mikumi shares its ecosystem and offers excellent wildlife-viewing opportunities.
To start the day, explore Mikumi National Park, famous for its open savannahs and abundant wildlife. As the morning unfolds, watch elephants, buffaloes, lions, giraffes, wildebeests, and various antelope species. Then, your guide will take you to the best wildlife-viewing spots, including the scenic Mkata Floodplain. Throughout the day, enjoy changing landscapes, diverse habitats, and unforgettable encounters with the park’s wildlife. By late afternoon, reflect on the day’s adventure while witnessing the beauty of Mikumi’s wilderness.
After breakfast, begin your return journey to Dar es Salaam. Along the way, stop for a cultural visit to a Maasai village. There, learn about the traditional life and customs of the Maasai people.
Next, enjoy a picnic lunch en route. Then, continue your drive and arrive in Dar es Salaam in the late afternoon.
Finally, you will be dropped off at the ferry terminal or airport for your 4:00 PM connection to Zanzibar by speedboat or domestic flight.
