5-Days Tanzania Lodge Safari

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly greeted by our friendly team and assisted with your transfer to Greenside Hotel Arusha or a similar comfortable lodge in Arusha. Settle in and enjoy a relaxed evening at your own pace, taking in the peaceful atmosphere as you prepare for the exciting safari journey ahead.

Overnight stay on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

After an early breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, begin your safari adventure with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful and wildlife-rich destinations. Famous for its vast elephant herds, towering ancient baobab trees, and diverse landscapes, Tarangire offers an authentic and less crowded safari experience.

Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, with excellent chances to spot lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and a wide variety of bird species. During the dry season, animals gather along the Tarangire River, creating outstanding wildlife viewing opportunities.

After a rewarding day of exploration, exit the park and transfer to Tarangire Simba Lodge, where you will enjoy a well-deserved dinner and relax while overlooking the surrounding wilderness.
Dinner and overnight stay at Tarangire Simba Lodge.

After an early breakfast at your lodge, enjoy a half-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, a perfect destination for families thanks to its open landscapes and abundant wildlife. Tarangire is especially famous for its large elephant families, gentle giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and colorful birdlife, offering exciting yet relaxed wildlife viewing for both adults and children.

During the game drive, your experienced safari guide will share fascinating facts about the animals and the ecosystem in a fun and engaging way, making it an educational experience for younger travelers. Later, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated scenic spot inside or near the park.

In the afternoon, depart Tarangire and drive to Mto wa Mbu Village, one of Tanzania’s most vibrant and culturally diverse communities. Here, you will take part in a guided cultural tour, visiting local homes, banana plantations, small workshops, and markets. Families will enjoy learning about traditional farming methods, tasting local fruits, and interacting with friendly villagers from different ethnic groups.

The Mto wa Mbu cultural experience offers children a wonderful opportunity to learn about everyday life in Tanzania in a safe, welcoming, and interactive environment.

After the tour, continue to Karatu Simba Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Begin the day with a very early morning departure from your lodge, traveling toward Lake Eyasi, a remote and culturally rich area located southwest of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The early start allows you to arrive in time to experience the Hadzabe community during their most active hours.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided cultural visit with the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Tanzania. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide and interpreter, you will learn about their traditional way of life, including hunting techniques, food gathering, fire-making skills, and their deep connection to nature.

This experience is conducted in a respectful and educational manner, making it suitable for families and older children. Guests will have the opportunity to observe daily activities, ask questions, and gain insight into a unique culture that has remained largely unchanged for generations.

After the cultural activities, bid farewell to the community and begin the return drive to your lodge. Arrive in the late morning or early afternoon, with time to relax, enjoy lunch, and reflect on this meaningful cultural experience.

Overnight at Karatu Simba lodge.

After a relaxed early breakfast at your lodge, proceed to Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive. Then, carefully descend 600 meters into the crater floor, which is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife within a natural volcanic caldera.

During the game drive, observe lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare black rhinoceros. Moreover, the crater provides excellent opportunities to watch predators and prey coexist closely. Additionally, photographers will find countless perfect shots throughout the day.

Later, stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside or near the crater, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Afterwards, gradually ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, concluding your safari adventure. Finally, you may connect to a domestic flight to Zanzibar from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport upon request.
