8-Day Nyerere National Park (Selous) And Zanzibar Packages

Depart Dar es Salaam and drive approximately five hours to Selous Game Reserve. Along the way, stop at Kibiti for lunch. Then, continue to Selous and check in at your lodge. After settling in, relax briefly before heading out on a late afternoon boat safari along the Rufiji River. Following the boat safari, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, begin a full-day safari exploring the vast and untamed Selous Game Reserve. Meanwhile, enjoy wildlife sightings across diverse landscapes. For lunch, choose a hot meal at the camp or arrange a picnic with your guide. Later, return to the tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Walking safari with armed ranger guide. Early morning you will be driven to the entrance gate to start your walking safari in the park. Starting time will be arranged by your guide. After the walking safari you will then be driven to the hotel for check out and preparing to drive back to Dar es Salaam to take your late afternoon/night flight to Zanzibar. At the airport you will be transferred to the northern part of the island, Hilton Hotel.

After several days of scheduled activities, enjoy a day at leisure. Today, you decide when to wake up and eat. Meanwhile, relax at the hotel or explore nearby areas. For meals, choose freely where to have lunch and dinner. In addition, numerous beachside restaurants offer a variety of dining options.

Relax at the hotel until the afternoon. After lunch, you will be picked up around 15:00 for a spice tour. During the tour, explore Zanzibar’s spice farms and taste various spices if you wish. Then, drive to Stone Town for a city tour. Meanwhile, enjoy time exploring the town on your own.

Visit Africa House Hotel to watch the sunset and sip sundowners before dinner. Next, explore Forodhani Gardens, where vendors sell fresh seafood, tropical fruits, Zanzibari dishes, and fruit juices. Meanwhile, taste the local flavors and enjoy the lively evening atmosphere.

Enjoy another day at leisure, or choose other activities beyond sunbathing. For example, arrange a diving lesson or join a fishing trip. Additionally, try snorkeling or visit Prison Island. These are just a few of the many exciting options available.

In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel to join a full-day Safari Blue trip in Fumba. During the tour, sail out to the sea and visit small islands. Meanwhile, enjoy snorkeling and sample delicious local foods. This trip is a must-do activity included in the full safari package.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight home or to Dar es Salaam. Pickup times will vary based on your flight or ferry schedule. Therefore, we strongly advise choosing an early flight or ferry to Dar es Salaam if connecting to another flight.
